You must have seen automatic door openers in shopping malls and other commercial buildings. They open the door when someone comes near the entrance and close it after sometime. A number of technologies are available to make such kinds of systems like PIR sensors, Radar sensors, Laser sensors, Infrared sensors, etc.

An infrared proximity sensor or IR Sensor is an electronic device that emits infrared lights to sense some aspect of the surroundings and can be employed to detect the motion of an object. As this is a passive sensor, it can only measure infrared radiation.

DHT11 is a popular temperature and humidity based digital sensor. There is an upgraded version of the DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor available, which is DHT22 Sensor with higher sensing ranges.

The circuit works on two conditions - one is presence of light in its location and second is presence of human being, only when these two conditions are met, the controller turns the backup light ON.
These two conditions are tested by two sensors one is LDR and other is Motion sensor module. The LDR senses the presence of light and Motion sensor detects the presence of a human being in its range.

In this project, we are going to send Temperature and Humidity sensor data to Thingspeak using DHT11. By this method we can monitor our DHT11 sensor’s temperature and humidity data over internet using ThingSpeak IOT server, and we can view the logged data and graph over time on the ThingSpeak dashboard.
